Hi, I was not referring to shortcode in general but only to related events:

I tried to set Show Only Ongoing Events on grid view but related events also show expired events.

Please use the latest version of the MEC (v5.3.0), we fixed the related evens module on this version:

Sorry man but I have the same problem with latest version, also tried to deactivate plugin, related events always show past events.
Anyway, thank you for your support and patience

PS. A small suggestion, It would be nice also to show event labels (such as canceled or featured) on related events
