This morning it was brought to my attention that no one can submit any form that features a ReCaptcha (v2) checkbox. The error displayed is: “The reCAPTCHA was invalid. Go back and try it again.”

This appears to be happening with all the forms on the website. Everything worked correctly until “recently”, whenever that was. In the recent past, I have updated a variety of plug-ins, etc., and there is nothing that currently needs an update. I have tried deactivating most plug-ins to no avail. I also tried deleting and re-installing Simple Google reCaptcha with no improvement.

What does SOMETIMES work, is if I delete the reCaptcha block from the form, re-add it, save the change, and refresh the web page with the form. But so far that fix doesn’t “stick”. Sooner or later, it will fail for the user again with the same message.

For the moment, I am removing the dialog from most of my forms (except the one linked in this help request), but would like to get this resolved quickly if possible.

BTW, I am using Gravity Forms.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

    Hi @nikko963,

The error message is not from Simple Google reCAPTCHA, it looks like you have activated another reCAPTCHA plugin.

    And as you write

if I delete the reCaptcha block from the form

is pretty strange, because there is no reCaptcha block in Simple Google reCAPTCHA which you could add into form.

OK, so the error msg isn’t from the reCaptcha plug-in. I’ll take the issue up with Gravity Forms then.

    Thanks!
