Stats widget doesn’t load on wp-admin dashboard

    Within the last few weeks I’ve noticed the Jetpack stats widget is not loading. The preloader icon keeps spinning into infinity. This also prevents me from clicking the notifications icon. However, when I go to the Jetpack dashboard, the stats load just fine and I can click on the notifications icon just fine. The notifications icon works fine everywhere except the wp-admin dashboard. Also, these two problems are not present in troubleshoot mode.

    I am on WordPress 5.4 and Jetpack 8.4.2. I use Chrome, but I’m also having this problem with Safari. I searched for this problem before creating this post and saw a few threads from February and a year ago. I do not have SiteKit installed, and I have disabled Markdown and still have this problem.

    Hi, you’re referring to the Stats by Jetpack section on the dashboard, correct? If you view your JavaScript console, do you see any errors there? And if so could you share them here?

    Got it, if you temporarily disable each extension, does the stats module work again?

    If it is Tampermonkey, given the variety of scripts that could be in there, I’d recommend just briefly disabling it when you want to view stats in the dashboard, or adjusting the script so it works there.

    Tampermonkey has no scripts related to WordPress and has worked just fine up until now, so I don’t think this is related. To be sure, however, I disabled it as you suggested and still have the same problem.

    I’m not a coder and all of these errors are Greek to me, but I saw something about Site Health. I disabled that plugin, and everything is back to normal. I see it was updated two weeks ago which was about when I noticed this problem began.

    I had the same problem and can confirm that deactivating the “Health Check” plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/) solves the problem. Is it correct to assume that this plugin is superfluous now that Site Health has been integrated into WordPress itself?

    Can also confirm that this solved this issue for me thank you @antermoia. I was able to find this but painstakingly working through the plugins in Troubleshooting modes on Site Health. I wish I had found your post sooner ??
