Reliance on Ghostkit

  • It looks like the Kinetic wrapper is reliant on jarallax from the Ghostkit plugin on my site, which means I can’t get rid of the Ghostkit plugin.

    So, I learned something today… Because I installed Ghostkit first, and Ghostkit installaed jarallax.js and jarallax-video.js, Kioken was using
    Ghostkit’s version of the script files. This turned up while I was trying to speed up pages using asset cleanup. Deactivating the Ghostkit plug-in entirely removed that reliance and Kioken is now using it’s own version of those scripts.

    Although I understand why Kioken and other plug-ins would use common script files like this, it does seems a bit dangerous and could create incompatibility issues in the future. Thankfully, I don’t need Ghostkit anymore and am able to uninstall it.
