    Hi guys,

Just a question about the responsive / adaptive images feature. The description says “Serve only appropriately sized images depending on the visitor’s viewport”. Is this done using srcset?

If so, how is this different to what default WordPress does? As of v5.3 WordPress generates 8 different sizes and adds them as a srcset in the html, meaning any modern browser will select the right size for the viewport. Or are you using the same method?

PS. The image optimisation is great ??

    Hi @menathor,

No, unlike other image optimization plugins, we don’t use srcset ?? We calculate the image size on-the-fly based on the device viewport, so you will always get the exact needed size.

    Cheers!

Great to know, thank you! So is the calculation of the required size done via JavaScript?

    That is right!

I installed SPAI on a website yesterday that uses the Divi theme and has a slider at the top of the Home page. The site also has SPIO.

Today the slider isn’t resizing for mobile – particularly phones.

Do I need to change the settings somewhere?
