2020 Remember to change under “users” and use 2 factor auth

After zillions of unauthorized login attempts, this REALLY helped me change my user name easily. Just remember to check under “users” in your wordpress menu after you install AND activate the plugin. You cannot change user in the “username changer” page. (at least I couldn’t.) The sucky part about this situation is that anyone can see your user name via an author query after your domain, which cleary showed my new user name. I recommend reading up on how to keep that hidden, or install a plugin with 2 factor authentication or something with captcha.
