    Hello,

I don’t have my website visible at the moment (it’s just a coming soon page), so the link won’t be very helpful. Rather, I am hoping that someone else has had a similar issue and knows already how to fix it. The GDPR cookie banner originally loaded as desired and then I added a pop-up plug-in because I also wanted to show a pop-up on the same page. This seemed to give the cookie banner some issues. It now shows when the page loads but then “pops” / “disappears” as soon as the page is fully loaded. I assumed that this behavior would fix itself again as soon as I deactivated the pop-up plug-in, but it did not. The cookie banner is still acting strange. However, it loads perfectly with the “show again” button, which I also have featured on my site, so I know that the mechanics of it are still intact. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I would like to be able to both show the cookie banner and a pop-up on my webpages whenever I feel like it, only being able to have one or the other would not mean full functionality to me… But I feel like the issue is something small and that it may not even be a true “plug-in conflict”. As a side-note, I did check the cookie banner settings and it is set to stay put until the button is clicked, so it is clearly not behaving.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!
    Sincerely, April

    Hi @spottedsalamander,

The consent once given is saved in your browser. Can you check in a private window or incognito window?

I am having a similar problem. The banner had been working fine in conjunction with a Popup Builder pop-up. Today, I made a number of changes to our settings (added cookies to the cookie list, created a cookie policy page, added settings and read more buttons) and now the banner will not auto-appear when the site is loaded. I have the Show Again tab enabled and if the user presses this tab, then the banner appears. However, even though Accept on Scroll is enabled, the banner remains unless the user presses Accept.

Hi, to clarify, I leave banners on when I am developing so that I can see how they react on page load. In this case, the banner pops on page load – so I see it and then it just disappears before I have the chance to really read and or click on it. This is different behavior compared to when the banner doesn’t show again to the same user – in this case it is not at all visible during the loading process…

I am now using a different pop-up plug in, but even when the other plug-ins are deactivated I still have the same issue…

    Hi @smanusspain,

Please share your site URL so that we can have a look.

    @spottedsalamander,

We have an auto hide/auto accept option under the settings. Please check if you have enabled that.

Hi, no I do not have the hide / auto accept enabled… But it is acting as if I did. As I mentioned before, it does work correctly when I click on the “show again” cookie info button.

(I also tried resetting my settings and that did not help the issue.)

Update: I migrated to my real domain, and it seems to work on the live site fine.

Great. Leave us a review if you like the plugin.

Update: here’s the deal, I checked the website first on firefox, which I had not been using for development, and the cookie banner worked as expected, but now – I assume because the site is cached – it always pops on loading like it was doing in my development (chrome)…

I would like for the banner to show on every new first instance of a customer’s (return) visit. Or is this caching not an issue? I am unaware of how long it is cached, and what the law is regarding customers seeing the banner more than once on initial visit. If I need to change my caching preferences, that would also be helpful to know, as I do not know how I can be exact about calling out the banner.

Maybe you can clarify this for me?
Here’s the website URL for testing: https://www.apridian.com (still in development)

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @spottedsalamander,

By default, once the user interacts with the cookie bar, the same user will not be shown the cookie bar for the next 365 days, unless he clears the cookies in browser data.

We also checked this working in your site in chrome and firefox and it works perfectly.
