[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] activated, but no flash! looks like regular WP gallery…

  • i installed nextgen and the image rotator, and tried a test gallery. but the NextGen gallery just funcions like a normal WP gallery…you click an image, and it just takes you to a white page with the image file sitting there- no flash popup image viewer with image browser arrow or anything.

    it definitely IS a NextGen gallery…just a simple post with the [gallery id=1] insterted to reference a test gallery i made.

    i’ve looked everywhere in the admin / gallery settings, and can’t get this resolved.

    please help!

  • I am having the same issue too. I just updated to 1.41 and my images are opening in a new page rather than in a flash popup: https://rafaelperezillustration.com/portfolio/animals/
    Any ideas?

    hey rafael- thanks for chiming in. i check out your site. my problem exactly.

    I think I figured it out, for some reason something got unchecked with the update. Go to Nextgen gallery options,then go to the gallery settings submenu. Click more settings to show everything and check the top box “Deactivate gallery page link”. That seemed to work for me…

    that ‘deactivate gallery page link’ was actually already checked for me…still no go.

    any possibillity there’s something else you clicked?
    anybody?

    Any one find an answer? I could swear it worked fine for me a month ago. Now pictures to a blank page.
