WordPress API to get Authors

    Hello,
    I am using WordPress API to get for my site. What field(s) does the Authors plugin output to in the APIs?

    Where I use query POSTs to get posts by author nicename I get a result back – which shows me the authors plugin is working in that regard. But the JSON output of that query shows author field as NULL which makes very little sense.

    Any thoughts here?
