Force login before checkout only for digital products

Hi there!

By default, guest checkout for WooCommerce products is either enabled, or disabled, for all products.

To change that, you can use a code snippet. What I would suggest is to turn off guest checkout for all products under WooCommerce → Settings → Accounts & Privacy. Then, you can use the snippet found on this page here to Allow Guest Checkout on Certain products. That snippet will add this button to your individual products. Tick the box, and guest checkout is enabled!

This is just perfect, thank you. Just one thing missing: there’s a plugin that show popup login or register when the guest click on buy now before checkout? Only for digital products.

Great question, yes, there are plugins that can add a login popup before checkout. I would give these a spin, and see if they work for you:

1. Login/Signup Popup ( Inline Form + Woocommerce )
2. WooCommerce Popup Signup & Login Forms

Thank u Kyle, but with those plugins, i can add a pop up just on a click of a button, not before loading checkout. What i mean is: if the user click on buy now, has to be redirected on checkout page, but first the pop up has to appear, but if i use those plugins the product doesn’t go to checkout! because or i click on “buy now” or i click on pop up button. I need a pop up thats appear when the user try to load the checkout.
If i’m wrong please explain me.

Hi again! I’m not sure if I fully understand exactly what functionality of a pop-up plugin you are looking for.

What I would suggest is that you look through the www.ads-software.com plugin repository for a Popup plugin that has the exact feature you are looking for. I have started a search on your behalf, for “WooCommerce Popup”, which you can find here.
