Hi everyone, I’m trying to compile a troubleshooting guide for wavr.

So far the issues we have are either:

    a) Problems installing the plugin
Make sure you either installed it from the “Add new plugin” page within your wordpress or decompressed it to the right directory.
The file system should look like this:
    /
    –/wp-content
    —/plugins
    —/wavr
    —/wavr.php (and other files)

    b) Problems loading a wave (you put the code but a blank space is shown)
    — Make sure the wave id is correct.
    — Make sure you’re logged in to wave
    — Make sure you’ve added [email protected] to the wave (or made the wave public)

    c) Problems customizing the looks of waves
    — Please send examples of your configuration, the shortcode and the html code generated or a url where I can look at it.

That’s all I have for now, but i hope this will help.

    Thanks everyone for the feedback!

    Hey,

well there are two major points i’d like to say.

    1. The WaveID must not contain a trailing “.” (dot) otherwise you wont see any content from the wave and the plugin won’t work.

Example URL: https://fotovossblog.peggy-forum.com/2009/11/google-wave-kommt-ins-wordpress/ Here you can see my embedded Wave
The String i used to embedd the Wave is: [wave id="googlewave.com!w%252BlTGl7sjjq" color="#909090" bgcolor="#202020"]

    2. You mentioned above, that adding: [email protected] will make the wave public readable. This doesn’t work, even the way google-help suggested, to add [email protected] won’t work, but results in a message: this is not a googlewave account.

    Are there any suggestions?

    Greetings from vienna

The second point went becomes a little clearer after doing some waveing with friends. The [email protected] is addable if you ignore the missing button in the confirmation window and just hit enter.

Nevertheless this won’t make the wave public, due to Google mentioned that this will not work while wave is in Beta state.
