Bloggem Featured Image problem

I activated the BlogGem theme on my website. Everything was fine, except the featured images are blank. Is there a way to resolve this? I had to uninstall the theme. Could it be caused by incompatibility with one or more of the plugins I am running?

The issue occurred only in Safari, and only on an iPad.
