search relevance

  • Is it possible to sort the search results based on relevance. For instance if I look for ‘Rose’ I find members that have Rose as first name, or as last name or Rose in the street name. Can I specify that the search results should show results with hits in first name first and then the other hits?

  • If you edit the member directory, there’s a section near the bottom to set which fields you want to be able to search on (“Choose filter(s) meta to enable”). The main search box will still search everything, but you’ll get additional search boxes for each of the fields you enable there, and you can search those fields specifically if you want. That’s not quite what you’re asking, but it might be better than what you’re running into.
