    Is a password added to watermarked PDF’s to prevent editing/tampering?

    What if my original PDF is password protected already?

    Hi @jeffshrek

    Thanks for your question. If your PDF is already passworded, it means it is encrypted and no PDF watermarking plugin for WordPress can manipulate it at all. The PDF needs to be unlocked and “naked” for a watermarking plugin to be able to do its job.

    The free version of WaterWoo does not add passwords.
