• Good evening,

In the Woocommerce Analytics dashboard, I am attempting to download my orders for the past month. Normally, I can download a smaller range in CSV format. But when clicking the download button after I’ve selected orders for the past month, I simply get the message “your orders report will be emailed to you”.

However, neither of my accounts linked to the website have received such an email – so I wondered if you could inform me why this might be the case? I am using the free version of the plugin – is it that I need to purchase an additional plugin for this functionality to work? Or have I simply missed a setting where you can assign which email receives this information?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi @jhsingo, @galasecrets,

When a WooCommerce analytics report is quite large, you will see the message that your order report will be emailed to you. A link to download the report when it’s ready will be emailed to the site admin.

The received email will look like this below, which is an email I received when testing this feature for us.

If you’re still not sure which email address your report is being sent could install a plugin called WP Mail Logging. Once you’ve triggered the report email wait a few minutes and then check in WordPress Admin > Tools > WP Mail Log. This plugin logs all outgoing WordPress emails and should show you to whom those were sent to.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi,

I installed the plugin and tried to download the report. Got the message that it will be delivered by email. After almost half an hour there is nothing in the log indicating that the report was sent. Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot this issue?

    Best regads.

Somehow I started receiving the reports. I didn’t change anything on the site. Could be my hosting company. Anyway. The report I am receiving is not complete, it’s only 50 rows, where in the admin panel I see 144 records. Why is that? Also, can you tell me where are the exported reports stored once generated?

    Best regards.

    Hi @galasecrets,

Testing for us today I created a report with 528 orders and all of those were present within the downloadable CSV file when I opened that in Numbers or MacOs and also Google Sheets.

The reports which are created for download by the Analytics section are present within the folder below in WordPress once created.

    /wp-content/uploads/

    I hope this helps.

I’ve also started receiving reports just recently. The original cause of my query was that another person who has access to my site had attempted downloading the report, but strangely – even though his permissions are set as store manager – I only received a report to the admin email when I tried.

Thank you for your prompt help and suggestions – and I hope @galasecrets manages to get their issues resolved satisfactorily as well.

Wow!!! I really don’t know how this happened, but after the @stuartduff post I tried again to generate and get a report, and to my surprise it was fine. All records were present. Looks like now everything works just fine. Thanks @stuartduff for your support and prompt replies. Thanks again and stay safe.

Well, the problem is back. I requested a report 6 hours ago, and still have no email.

I also checked the folder that @stuartduff said the generated reports are stored (check the link to the screenshot). All generated reports are the same size and just 50 rows per report. I still have not received a single email for downloading the report.
Really wired, it was all working fine just a few days ago. Any suggestions?

    Hey @galasecrets,

Check you WooCommerce > Status > Logs section and look for a log called Fatal Errors. Look at any errors within that to see if your site is possibly timing out or exceeding its memory which could halt processes like CSV exports.

Hi, I’m experiencing the same problem. I installed WP Mail Log plugin and realized that emails have not been sent. I also checked wp-content and realized that csv files are not there.

But I was able to get those reports couple of months ago and you will see them in the image.
Has someone figured this out? If so, any guidance is much appreciated. Thanks.

@nishandesilva I seemed to have fixed the issue by using ‘WP Mail SMTP’ plugin. Now I receive each report without any issues. It may not be the best solution, but it works. Hope this helps.

    Best regards.

@galasecrets Thanks for the recommendation. I installed WP Mail SMTP plugin and configured it to my hosting provider’s email server. I ran a successful test email.
Still, when I generate a Woocommerce Analytics Report, I never get the email. When I checked the Mail log, there’s no emails sent.
I am so frustrated with this. Anything else you can recommend? It would mean a lot. Thanks.

    Hi,

    I’m having the same problem.
I had installed WP Mail SMPTP and Mail Logging, but see no email sending out for Analytics Reports.
