    Hello,
Can anyone help me as to why my columns collapse to the side of the page and all the images disappear when I click anywhere on the page?
I tried with firefox and edge and they both have the same result.
I thought it might be some kind of conflict between twenty twelve and metaslider but when I deleted the metaslider blocks the same thing happened.
(I really tried hard to find something in the forums but couldnt, although Im sure there must be something, I`m just not looking in the right place. If anyone knows, let me know).
Thanks in advance for any reply – I`m a pretty lonely guy anyway.

  • Hey,
Can you send a screenshot of what you are seeing, I’m not sure I understand.

    Thank you Ben,
This is the first time using wordpress support and I couldn’t find how to send screen shots so rather than waste your time I just uploaded pictures of how the screen should look and what happens after you click on it to a page on my website.
    images of collapsed screen problem
    Thanks,
    Dan
BTW I’m an English teacher in Japan trying to set up an online school so there is loads of Japanese writing on there but to all intents and purposes, it shouldn’t be the problem as it’s just paragraph blocks and there aren’t any problems on any other page.
(If you want me to send jpegs instead, let me know).
    Thanks again.

    Hey,
You can share screen shots using an image share like this: https://imgbb.com/upload

I can’t recreate what you are seeing in your screen shot.

Are you zoomed out in your browser settings? Have you tried another browser?

Which Kadence Block are you using?

Thanks for the upload link, I’ll use it next time.

Before your last email I had checked the problem on Firefox and Edge and got the same result so I’d assumed it wasn’t browser-specific. I just checked using Chrome and Chrome doesn’t have the same problem and works just fine.
I’m worried I may be wasting your time and I’ve posted this in the wrong place, I don’t know if I’m using Kadence – I’m just using the Twenty Twelve theme and the block is the “column” block
I’ve noticed, if I change the “column” to “group”, the layout stays the same but the problem still happens: everything collapses to one side and the images disappear.
As an idea and quick fix, shall I get a Kadence column plug-in and see if that works?
Sorry if this is a waste of your time.

I tried in firefox as well and I can’t recreate.

Are you zoomed out with your browser or computer settings?

Not sure if I can offer any advice unless there is some way for me to recreate what you are seeing.

Have you tried turning off browser extensions and any computer filters?

I’ve just activated Kadence and I’ll give it a go. If it works, I’ll close the post and you shan’t hear from me again and you can imagine I have made my peace and gone to live in the Swiss Alps with Heidi.
If it doesn’t work, I’ll message again.

    Yay!
    Kadence worked thank you.
If you ever make it to the Swiss Alps…
    Thank you.
