Hello, I need to clarify one aspect. I am using on a WooCommerce website the plugin “Post SMTP Mailer/Email Log” to send email via an external SMTP server. I would like to install the plugin “MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress” to start to collect email addresses for the newsletter.

If I install and activate MC4WP, are all the emails sent from the website (e.g. new order confirmation emails, password changes, etc.) sent through Mailchimp or they still will be sent via the actual external SMTP server?

    Thank you for your support.

    Hey @morris4ever69,

Please note that our plugin does not send any emails. The newsletters have to be created from your MailChimp.com account and the emails are sent from MailChimp.com’s servers.

Thank you very much for the explanation!

I had the same question @morris4ever69 did mailchimp mess up any of the SMTP transaction emails or did they just work side by side?
    Thank you

@aqsad the plugin helps to collect the email addresses in MailChimp but it does not send any email directly so emails sent via SMTP are not involved. In my installation everything works correctly.
