I want to display a list of tracks on a web page. My course list ( lifterlms_courses shortcode ) is used in lieu of the standard courses page.
The page about tracks says “At it’s base level a Course Track is a Course Category”
In the lifterlms lesson “Displaying Courses by Track” – I can find the link ok but how do I use it?? the link is of the form ….sitename/course-track/trackname

Can’t spot what I am missing

    Any help much appreciated
    Regards
    Alan

Update: I can put a button on a page to link to the “sitename/course-track/trackname”. The resulting page uses the default lifterlms layout for courses which we want to replace with a layout the same as our customized course catalog.

    Cheers

    Hi @alankd

It’s not possible at this moment to display a list of tracks on a web page. We do not have this functionality yet in LifterLMS.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    Thank you ??

    Hi jnr4u2
    Thanks for your reply.

Can you explain how tracks are supposed to be used? the idea of tracks is great but I can’t see how to use them or where the learner can choose a track or how we can direct them to one
    regards
    Alan

    Hi @alankd,

We have some documentation here that might help: https://lifterlms.com/docs/what-is-a-course-track/

Tracks are great for things like setting prerequisites to create course groups! To direct a user to a track, there is no shortcode for it as the content is actually dynamically created.

In the documentation I linked there is a guide on where to find the page the course tracks are displayed on! You would just want to take that link and create a button or place for students to click so they are directed to the track page!

    I hope this helps!

Please let us know if you have any further questions!

    Thanks and take care,
