How to edit php file to edit section?

Hi,

I want to add blank sections to insert shortcodes (like Instagram feed for example) but it looks like that’s not possible with the customizer.
Usually I just edit the template-part files to insert my shortcodes directly to the theme but I don’t see the template part files for the homepage?
