Placing ads between post in Masonry view

    Hi
    I would like to add adverts between posts, as if they are posts. For example, after the 3 post and then again after the 6th post. They should display like a post but when clicked go to the ad link.
    Have looked at a few plugins for ad placement but can’t find anything that will do this. They all place in widget areas and plugins like Ad Inserter when set to place between posts puts it behind everything.
    Is this possible with a plugin, or does it require custom code?
