A Dashboard Notice has appeared about Creating a Domain Key to access Online Services. Makes zero sense to me. What is this Domain Key, what are Online Services, and do I need them?/am I using them?

I checked the forum and someone was told to go to Litespeed General Settings and obtain a key there. So I’m looking, I read that I need a Domain Key to link to QUIC.cloud, but there’s also a highlighted box saying “You MUST WHITELIST all IPs FIRST” – with a clickable link. Clicking the link brings up a blank page with a list of IP addresses I don’t even recognise. What am I meant to do with these? How do I whitelist them? And what on earth is QUIC.cloud?

You need to appreciate that not everyone has technical knowledge. In my case, your plug-in was installed by a tech support person to solve an issue, and I’m left with an active plug-in I do not understand and I cannot mess with in case I break something that would cost me dearly to fix.

From an end-used perspective, this plug-in is ultra complicated as it is. Add random tech language notices and what are we supposed to do? Pay for tech support every time, fearing that the site might break if you do/don’t do something?

Please respond in plain language with step-by-step instructions. Thank you.

    Hi,

Online service refers to image optimization , CCSS generator , LQIP generator …etc

That’s optional feature , you can dismiss it if you don’t want to use them.

the list of IP are online service server nodes , whitelist it in case your local firewall blocks any communication when you use online service.

QUIC.cloud, plaase check this page, in plain language , it’s CDN service with some other online service I mentioned in first sentence.

this plug-in is ultra complicated as it is

well , I kind of agree , more features leads to more complication on setting/configuration , I believe this applies to all kind of softwares in the world.

there is no need to be fear , setting can be easily reverted if you made any change , also there is feature to export your current setting as backup , just in case.

Most of options/features are having a small line for quick description below , as any other plugin does.

When you use a new stuff , it certainly takes some time to learn , like first time you drive a different car , you need some times to get familiar with its brake , its throttle and transmission …etc , I still remember many years ago , for first time I installed WP and login into admin area I was literally staring at page and have no idea what to do.

I am not sure what kind of step by step instruction you need , please be more specific.

If you just to generate domain key , you seem already know

to go to Litespeed General Settings and obtain a key there

    Best regards,
