    Hello,

    since the last update there is the function “Block attempts to publish or edit a published post by users who do not have the right capabilities”.
    In itself the idea is good.

    But can you explain to me why the attempts of an editor to save an article are blocked?

    How does the mechanism work (I am of course aware that you are not allowed to give out that much information)?

    It’s a bug! I’m aware of it and I already have a patch for it. I will released v4.2.1 in the next couple of days. In the meantime, you can disable this policy and wait until the next update.

    The way it work is simple: it blocks you if you aren’t allowed to edit the post or page. This can be used to block this kind of critical vulnerabilities.
    But in the current code, there’s an extra check that shouldn’t be there because it wrongly blocks an editor trying to edit someone else’s post for instance.

    New version 4.2.1 was released today and fixes that problem.
