• Hi – I’m new to MailPoet and am having issues with my custom unsubscribe page. When clicking the unsubscribe link in my welcome email it is redirecting guests to the MailPoet page. Any thoughts on what is going wrong would be HIGHLY appreciated. I’ve,

    – Added [mailpoet_manage text=”Manage your subscription”] to my new page.
    – Changed the Unsubscribe landing page in settings to the new custom page.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

For reference here is the default page my unsubscribe link is sending people too.

And here is the simple flow I’m trying to re-create from MP’s documentation:

    Hello @sslaton,

Sorry about the problems with your custom unsubscribe page. There are two things you can check:

    1. We noticed the unsubscribe page you’ve shared is returning a “Page not found” error. It seems the page does not exist or has somehow been deleted. Can you confirm it?
    2. Can you please check which version of MailPoet you have installed? We recently released a two-step unsubscribe process. So now, users must confirm the unsubscribe action by clicking a link on the page. This is to prevent robots from unsubscribing users unintentionally.

I’m having the exact same problem (getting redirected to the unsubscribe confirmation page) and for the life of me couldn’t figure out why this was happening!
It’d be nice if your official documentation would be updated to reflect changes you implement, otherwise users are just gonna be confused and waste time trying to fix things which are not fixable as they’re not a bug, but by design.
So I guess the follow-up question is: is there a way to customize that unsubscribe confirmation page? Because:
    A) It’s in English and my website is in Italian
    B) I’d like to be able to customize that default text (or better yet get a shortcode or some way to insert that “confirm unsubscribe” button into a custom page)
    C) the default MailPoet pages clash with my theme (Parabola by Cryout Creations) and are not properly rendered so a custom page for this “Unsubscribe confirmation” as well would be really needed.

    Thank you.

I faced the same problem ??
Need to change design for the first page with unsubscbive link or completely turn main template off for it and leave it blank. Can you suggest anything?

Having exact problem. I made custom pages for subscribing and unsubscribing, assigned them, they are published, cleared cache. But when I sign up to the newsletter, click on the link to confirm subscription, it goes to the old mailpoet page not the new one. Please advise

Never mind. I fixed it with Beaver Themer.

    Hello
I’m having the exact same issue!
“2. Can you please check which version of MailPoet you have installed? We recently released a two-step unsubscribe process. So now, users must confirm the unsubscribe action by clicking a link on the page. This is to prevent robots from unsubscribing users unintentionally.”

    – What’s the point of having a personalized unsubscribe page when my clients first have to look at an “ugly” undesigned mailpoet confirm unsubscribe page before getting to the actual page?
    – it would be great if we could at least decide for ourselves if we want to take the risk of robots unsubscribe our customers
    – if the “confirm the unsubscribe page” has to be, it would be great to be able to create a personalized page for this as well

Don’t get me wrong! I love you plugin but it seems you guys released an update way too fast and forgot about the options we need to make your plugin look good in the front end!

In the meanwhile I got a pissed customer (because I was to fast at updating the plugin) that says it was fine before…

I really hope you guys release an update fixing those issues fast…
    Thanks, Pascal

Just wanted to let you guys know that – for the moment, waiting to see if they will fix this in a future release – a workaround to restore the behaviour we want is to downgrade to MailPoet 3.46.13 and (if you use it) MailPoet Premium 3.0.84. If you use Premium, downgrading just MailPoet won’t work cause newer MailPoet Premium requires the latest version of MailPoet as well.

Exact same problem with Divi. I have 3.47.1 & 3.0.86. How do I downgrade it? Also is there a way to style the ‘manage subscription’ page?

You can either disable the plugin temporarily, delete or rename the plugin folder via ftp and replace it with the new (old) one, or you can use one of the automatic downgrade plugins that are around: I use WP Rollback.

    Tenho o mesmo problema.

    Same problem…
