Page Scrolling Issues (Bounces) on Mobile Device

  • So we created a WordPress website using a purchased theme. When viewing the homepage on an iPhone the page sticks the first time but after a couple of tries, it will scroll. We noticed that when continuing to scroll up or down the scrolling will work but if you stop the page and then you change the direction of the scrolling it will stick/bounce then it will respond on the second or third try. Additional observation, the page moves to the left and right and bounces back when your finger moves in the diagonal direction and I am thinking there might be a connection there.

    I also checked the demo version of the theme and they did have the same issue. I also verified that this also happens on Safari and Chrome.

    Since that is a commercial theme, we ask that you please go to their official support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best: https://themegoods.ticksy.com/

    Forum volunteers are not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working properly. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product’s developer. Keep in mind we encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.

    Hi James,
    Thank you so much for your response. Unfortunately the people who created the theme have been very unhelpful so I thought I would reach out to you. It looks like it is an issue that others experienced at different levels. According to what we can see, it looks like the theme stylesheet might have created a conflict with the original stylesheet. This is a problem we have been trying to resolve for the last two months with them and they just don’t seem to know how to resolve it. Any help from you would be greatly appreciated.

    I don’t own the theme, so I’m not able to help with this.

    You’ll need to wait for someone who owns the theme to reply, or get help from them theme’s developer, or use a different theme.

    Thank you for getting back to me. I am hoping someone will be able to help me on this forum since the developers of the theme are not able to help me.
