It just shows nothing in the box. I only have on family group, and when I got to the family group section the ID displayed is 11 with the oldest person’s ID as 206.

I’ve tried the shortcode, with and without the oldest person.

    [family-tree family='{11}’ root='{206}’]

The box displays, but it’s empty. The Gedcom I imported had about 3000 individuals, but only a few hundred were added. Is that due to a limit? I use the same Gedcom file with other conversion and import tools with no issue, but I also have no links between family members in the Tree Press import. No spouse, child, parent… no linking at all.

Here is a bit of the Gedcom for version and software reference.

  • Hi,
May be you forget to remove curly brackets, the short-code will look in this format.
    [family-tree family=’11’ root=’206’]

    please let me know

    kind regards

I made the suggested change with no change in result. Still just an empty box

[family-tree family=’11’ root=’206’] With and without the root reference, all I get is a blank box.

It sounds like something went wrong with the import. If there are no links between members then there is no way for the program to know how to draw the tree. Gedcom is a tricky thing – often with minor variations from different programs – and server limits can cause problems with larger files – would it be possible for you to send us the file to assess? I’d suggest contacting us via our website support page to do that. https://treepress.net/submit-ticket/
