• I’ve been trying to migrate my live site onto my local site using Laragon and PHPMYADMIN (running MYSQL)

After importing I was getting an SSL error. I edited the ‘flexible cloudflare’ plugin that I had by typing “flexible_ssl_deactivated” I also changed siteurl in phpmyadmin but it didn’t have an ‘https’ but an ‘http’ but I changed it to localhost/mysiteurl – still no luck. what I am currently experiencing is the site loading when google chrome is in incognito but I still cant access WP-ADMIN

any help? theres so many articles none with clear answers

Have your tried clearing your computer’s SSL certificate cache? On a Win box, in windows search enter “internet options”. Click the control panel match. In the dialog box go to the options tab where you’ll find the “clear SSL state” button.

If all else fails you could probably install a self-signed certificate for your localhost site. Chrome will still complain, but you can get it to accept the certificate anyway. Acceptance should persist and you will not get a locked padlock icon, but the site should otherwise work. Creating and installing a certificate is quite a process. It’s really a last resort option.
