Menus Creation: Identical Category Names in Several Languages !

  • Hi to all!

    A simple question about menus.
    If we have several categories, which once translated,
    have the exact same names, what is the best way to compose ?

    It is suggested that we do a menu for each language.
    However, in English as in French, I have many identical categories.
    So I have two “Contact” pages, two menus named “Articles”, “Films”, etc.

    I write about video games, with categories named about brands, like “Xbox”.
    So, if we do all the menus in double, how to know which one to check in the list, when it is time to determine in which category goes an article ?

    Can we use the same categories and let the site goes to the right language ?

    Wishing not to take too much of your time on this question,
    I appreciate beforehand any useful suggestion.

  • You can use the same name but not the same slug for post, pages and taxonomies. This is a feature of the Pro version which you have to buy, if you want to achieve your goal.
