Would be nice if I could:

    • Specify a default image per post type and page.
    • I could disable default images on images attachment pages, as it makes the media library look odd: my music files no longer have a music icon, but a non-relevant image.

Have just seen the FAQ which partly answers this:
Can I exclude a page or give it a different image?

It would be nice if there was a non-programming solution.

    Hello Ian,

Can you explain a bit more about the music files?
That sounds like an oversight on my end.

I might do a per post-type setting, I’ve been getting that request a lot.
    No promises.

By default, the media library shows MP3 with its own default icon, a music symbol, as can be seen in this screenshot.

When the Default Featured Image plugin is enabled, these music symbols are replaced with the default image (because their media attachment page has no featured image?), and the MP3 icons no longer look right, as can be seen in this screenshot.

It could be useful, but should be an option.

    Hello Ian,

Thanks for the example. You’re the first to encounter this bug. It is fixed if you update the plugin to version 1.6.2

Let me know if you encounter any problems but I doubt it.
