Compatibility with Acoweb’s OWN Products?

You would think given they only sell three products they would be compatible with each other but no

I purchased two products with lifetime update support.

1. Custom product options $59
2. Pricing rules $39

After installing the custom product options i tried a different developer for a BOGO pricing discount tool. After much effort on their part (really great support) they could not get their plugin to work with acowebs.

So I contacted acowebs support to find out if their own discount plugin would work with their own custom product options and waited 8 days for a response that did not actually answer the question . I chased this up and still got no response. I also raised a query on the WP forum but nothing.

Eventually to find out if it worked for myself (due to lack of support), I was forced to purchase the pricing discount rules and try it out as I had no response from support but hoped/assumed acowebs products must be compatible with each other. Unbelievably, it seems they are not!

I have had a number of other discount BOGO plugin developers trying to help and make their plugin compatible with acowebs custom option plugin but they all say the acowebs custom options plugin is using deprecated functions and is too inflexible.

I can’t believe I am the only person in the world with a product whose price is calculated using a formula that depends on user input at the front end (namely width and drop) and who also wants to offer customers a buy 2 get one free deal.

Despite the fact acowebs sell both these products independently they don’t work with each other.

The products on their own are fine (and actually not bad at all) but I am very disappointed with the lack of compatibility with their own products let alone other plugins. But most of all I am not impressed with support which takes for ever and have not helped at all.

If they had made it plain from day 1 that their custom product options plugin would not work with any pricing calculators (I have tried 4 of the main ones) it would have saved alot of people alot of frustration and time.

I have asked for a refund so I can start again. Will see what happens next!
