Hi, i want to bring in a suggestion, something we’ve painfully learned.
The FB Woo plugin was installed on a staging. And it synched those products to FB.
It was around 250 products. Once we found out, we first tried to delete manually the products on FB catalog. Off course, too much work to do like this.

Then we deleted the catalog, and synched it again with the Woo store.

Here’s the big issue: the customer had also a Instagram account with tagged products to shop. Almost over hunderd products tagges.

Now it appears that after deleting the FB catalog, every tagged product on Instagram was deleted too. And it can only be tagged again by doing it manually, product per product.

    So, yes painfull.
If there’s any notification that can be built in, i think the users would be happy to know this in advance. Although off course it’s a FB issue, not a plugin issue.

  • Hi Dave. ( @davelo )

Thanks so much for reaching out to us and letting us know about the issues you experienced. I’m so sorry for the trouble here.

Our team here at SkyVerge just recently took over development and support for this plugin. Our team is hard at work to make sure the plugin works more reliably and more easily going forward, so please know that we’ve raised an issue on our end about this issue when it comes to staging. We completely understand how painful this kind of accidental sync can be and it’s certainly something we’ll be taking a closer look at as we work on the plugin.

Again, my sincere apologies for the issue here and thank you for bringing this to our attention — we really appreciate it!

Is there anything else I can help with at this time? Please don’t hesitate to let me know.

    Thanks so much!

Hey, it’s not an issue of the plugin. It’s our fault.
But since Skyverge recently toke it over; and someone close at WooCommerce bumped me to mention the case i’ve had.

    The idea could be:
An extra notification/warning when the website(staging) is build under a subdomain or domainfolder.

Anyway: it’s on our staging checklist the even delete that plugin on staging.

    Thanks

    Hey Dave! ( @davelo )

Still so sorry for the issue. I’ve gone ahead and made sure that your suggestions (and your whole experience) will be reviewed by our product team.

Really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us!

If there’s anything else I can do here, Dave, would you please let me know?

    Thanks so much.
