I have a wordrpess & woocommerce site which is using Woocommerce Stripe Gateway plugin and in the past 3-4 weeks we have some clients outside Span that couldn’t finish the checkout process. An empty error appears.
Using a VPN client, I reproduce the errorand although the message is blank, using a developer tool I see that the message is that the card number is incomplete when it isn’t. I use my own credit card and all the fields are filled. I have some screenshots which links I’ll add below.

On the first screenshot you can see the red empty box and the errors. As you can see the message is blank but on the developer tool the number card message appears.
It only happens with clients outside Spain that pay through Stripe.
Does anyone have this problem? And how do you solve it

    Hi @veronicatallersilvestre

I’ve not seen this error recently and only one reported issue here – https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/issues/463

Can you help with more specifics about how to replicate this, please? Is this for users in Spain using Spanish addresses or anyone using a Spanish address.

i.e. could I in the UK purchase with a Spanish address without a problem?

    Thanks,

    Thanks @dougaitken for your answer.

Two cases have in common that they are from Germany, so I configured my VPN from Germany.

They both were trying to buy using credit card and they both want to save the card data for the future.

And all the shipping adresses are in Germany and Sweden.

We have another case from Sweden.

Hope it helps and that you can reproduce it. Please, let me know.

Yesterday we have a client in Irland that could pay without any problem.

Thanks again for your support. Hoping to hear from you soon.

Hi there @veronicatallersilvestre a quick note, these forums are public, and it is entirely possible that you screenshot (containing the full credit card number and expiration date) has already been cached by Google and other search engines/caches.

I strongly recommend contacting your credit card provider to have your card re-issued with a new number.

Oh @macmanx! Thank you so much! I haven’t realized because it’s true I use to use private support forums.
What if I remove now the images? Very late?

I’d lean towards the side of caution, since we have no control over when/how search engines index this site, so it’s better to get a new card reissued now.

    Hey @veronicatallersilvestre

You have also now mentioned Sweden and Germany.

To avoid confusion and let us help you further – can I ask you to reach out to us via https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/ and when you do, link us to this thread but also provide details about how to replicate this so we can understand what is causing this.

If you can – having a staging site you can use for Conflict testing would help – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    Thanks
