Forcing translation does not work

    I would like to default the language of the youtube videos to english. It does not work! Am I doing anything wrong?

    The youtube embed settings contain an api key and the default profile is set to “Show closed caption” and “cc language=en”.

    Hi,

    Thanks for providing that link – I can see that the parameter is on correctly. Looking at the YouTube instructions it says…

    Note that YouTube might select a different caption track language for a particular user based on the user’s individual language preferences and the availability of caption tracks.

    As I say, the parameter is being added correctly, so I think the above comes into play here. As the captions are auto-generated rather than provided, I suspect YouTube are simply over-riding this to provide Italian-only captions in this case.
