If you have a team spread across multiple time zones which many of us do now, and members in different time zones all input meetings, the start times will be wrong for everyone except for team members in the same time zone as the one set in WordPress > Settings > General > Timezone.

That means when an admin in the U.S. Pacific Timezone (GMT -7) enters a meeting start time in Pacific time, say 5:00 pm. MEC looks at the WordPress timezone setting “New York (GMT -4)”, and sets the meeting start time for 2:00 pm Pacific.

I don’t know if this impacts the Front End Submission option, but I can’t see how it would not.

The only work around is to have someone in the same timezone as the WordPress settings timezone enter all the meetings. You will also need to turn off show local timezone, and disable add meeting to calendar.

    Hi @tobiasbray,

Would you please provide us with some screenshots and images of the errors you faced step by step?
I would then forward it to the developer team to fix the issues in the upcoming updates.

    I responded by email.

The plugin does not handle time zones. Please improve the product by adding a “Pick Time Zone” for the start time of events. Many competitors do this now. When displaying an event, hook the user’s browser and get their local time data. Use it and the start time to display the correct local time on the event. There are many examples of the PHP code required to do this.

    Hi @tobiasbray,

In fact, this feature is not available on MEC, however, I will forward your topic to our developer team and they’ll surely receive it. If it is possible they will add this feature in the upcoming updates of the Plugin.

    Best Regards
