• Hello,

For some odd reason, I started to get a 404 for an asset-manifest.json at the root level.
I do not know the cause of this error.

Also, I had deactivated all the plugins and the theme and I still get the error.

Please let me know if there are any suggestions to try?

Thank you and have an amazing day! ??

  • Can you tell me the exact steps you did to get this error, and where exactly are you seeing this 404 error?

It would be great if you can share a screenshot of the error using https://snipboard.io/

Hello @nagpai . Thank you for your reply.

The error is seen when I run a page test on Webpagetest.org. One of the requests is showing a 404.
Here is a video recording of the error I see: https://files.deyson.com/tmDRw4F

Please let me know if there is anything else you may need. Thank you and have an amazing day.

Hi Deyson, I tried loading your site using the same tool, and also checked the Network logs in browser inspector (that would essentially show all files and components loading when we load the site)

I was unable to locate asset-manifest.json on that anymore.

I do see this warning in the browser inspector >> Console tab though in Chrome:

DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for https://cdn-mtnmastertmpl.pressidium.com/wp-content/plugins/elementor/assets/lib/swiper/swiper.min.js.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE

You may want to check this with Elementor support regarding what that file is about, although it may not cause any serious issues for your site.

Hello, Thank you very much for your help.

That is odd, I see the Error here: https://www.webpagetest.org/result/200605_JX_57070ae1e5025ec6b21cc579b8e0e275/1/details/#waterfall_view_step1

It is the 98th requested item that gives me the 404 error.

I will ask Elementor about your suggestion as well. I do not think it is related since I had deactivated Elementor and all other plugins and still got the 404 error shown above.

Thank you and have an amazing day!

    Good News!

Always impressed with webpagetest.org’s top-notch support.

Per webpagetest.org, the issue reported above has been traced to an issue with the SNYK vulnerability scanner. A fix will be implemented soon.

    Cheers!
