Can’t add role to user (won’t save)

    Hi, I created a new role and want to assign it to some users, but when I add the new role to their User Roles and click Update User, the change doesn’t stick. The new role is no longer checked. Has anyone else had this issue?

    WP version 5.4.1, Members version 3.0.8
