    Hi Augusto,
I have been using your WP to Diapsora* pluging for years now. Very grateful! Yesterday it stopped working altogether, while I am not aware of any changes to my blog settings or WordPress version.
Am I right that you will not update the plugin anymore?
If so, I quite understand. It is a great pity though.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi @bert-ernste

You are correct, the plugin hasn’t been maintained for quite some time now, as both of us (Augusto and me) don’t use diaspora* or this plugin any more :-/

I am however, working on a new release that will work for WP 5+ with Gutenberg, and then the plugin will be marked as unmaintained, unless we can find another developer to continue the project, hopefully =)

Stay tuned and thanks for the patience,

    Armando

    @bert-ernste I’ve just released version 3.0.0.

Please give it a go and give me any feedback, thanks!

Thanks for the effort, but it made my blog crash. This is the error message I get. It is partially in the default language of my Admin page, but I hope that it will help you. I could repair the crash, but I am a bit hesitant in using the add on now …

    Hello !

I also confirm that my blog crashed following the v3 install of WP to diaspora.

I disabled the plugin. Keep us informed !

And thanks again for your work!

    Best regards,

@bert-ernste and @itopie so sorry about that!

Clearly the deploy script was missing something, should be ok now with 3.0.1.

Thanks for the effort. However, it seems that it is not working for scheduled posts.

    Hi @bert-ernste

Finally I get back to you with the latest fix in version 3.0.2.

Scheduling works for me and there is no double-posting issue.

Hope it works for you too, otherwise it may be some other plugin or configuration that’s causing it.

Let me know when you find the time, thanks!

Great! Did a quick test and it works.

Minor quibble: tags with a space (p.e. autumn leaves) appear on Diaspora* with a hyphen (autumn-leaves) instead of an underscore (atumn_leaves).

    Thanks!

@bert-ernste Great to hear. So sorry for the month-long delay ??

Regarding the multi-word hashtags, i thought the convention was a dash instead of an underscore.
Looking at various resources online, best is not to have spaces at all in hashtags, but instead use capitalised words like #MultiWordHashtag.

Feel free to post an issue on GitHub (or a new one here), to continue the conversation there.

You’re right, I found out that for my use the hyphen works fine, even better.

When searching for #autumn-leaves it actually also finds #autumn_leaves, while the opposite does not work.

    Thanks!
