    I received an email stating my site was not working as there was an error with Jetpack. Everything I do to try to access the site leads to https://garyjkirkpatrick.com/wp-admin/install.php

    Wordpress is already installed.

    WordPress version 5.4.1
    Current theme: Twenty Twenty (version 1.1)
    Current plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com (version 8.6)
    PHP version 7.4.6

    Error Details
    =============
    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 153 of the file /srv/disk8/1920671/www/garyjkirkpatrick.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/vendor/automattic/jetpack-sync/src/class-settings.php. Error message: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded

    first I tried to rename Jetpack to Jetpackold. No change. Then I renamed the plugin directory to pluginsold. No change. I do not know what else to do.

    I am traveling in Europe and have only mobile hot spot access.

    What do I need to do?

    thanks

  • When you are redirected to install.php is because for any reason the wp-config.php is not correct. Maybe the database connection is not working. Double check with your hosting to see if the database is right and check logs to get more information

    Thanks for the reply. The site is back up. The problem was with the database indeed. I checked with the hosting and they found it needed optimizing, which solved the problem.
