[Plugin: WP-EMail] Broken on separate subdomain, possibly JavaScript security issue

  • Hi,

    I not only have my themes and plugins in a directory other than my core WordPress directory, but I have them on another subdomain. I had to do this to try to speed the loading time of my blog (it frees up http requests for images, video, external files.)

    So this seems to break the plugin. As soon as I click the submit button it hangs and doesn’t send the email. The loading message just sits there.

    I think it’s because the JavaScript that handles the AJAX calls is on a different domain than the file that is calling it. That is, my blog is at blog.mydomain.com and the JavaScript is at assets.mydomain.com.

    Any ideas about how to fix this?

  • It will not work on subdomain because your browser block the AJAX call due to it coming from different domain for security issues.

    I don’t have a solution for that because I am not using subdomains myself.
