Shipping methods calculation

    Hi, shipping methods at checkout for cart are calculated base on customer billing address if available. Is it possible to always calculate the shipping methods by geolocation, regardless of customer billing address?

    Currently, i set the ‘Default customer address’ to ‘Geolocate’. For a new customer, the shipping methods available will be calculated by current customer geolocation, But for an existing customer, whom had the billing address entered, the shipping methods will be calculated by its billing address. Any way i can override this behavior which always gelocate customer location or shop base address for shipping methods calculation.

    Hi there,

    At the moment there’s no default method for that as geolocation doesn’t add *all* the necessary details to match a shipping zone (form some regions, that includes country, state and postcode). At best, it’s an approximation of the country where the user is from.

    Practically speaking, if using geolocation to match shipping zones is a must-have, it would require additional development by a web developer or customisation expert.
