• Hi – can you please let me know if this plugin can support the following:

    – Allow a user to add customer records to a database.
    – Allow a user to retrieve a list of the same customer records.
    – Allow another table with transactions, each linked to a customer. The transaction records need to be updateable with order status and eventually ‘closed’.
    – Allow the user to only see the customers and orders belonging to the customer records that user has added. The user can absolutely not see any customer or transaction records added by other users (our users are store vendors and we want to provide them the ability to create a customer list and track order transactions as a simple CRM tool for the vendors)

This kind of thing is possible with Participants Database, although it will take a fair amount of custom code to get you there. A setup like that takes a lot of work to get right because the user interface tends to be complex. Adding a layer of security complicates things further. If you are a WP developer, the plugin will get you a lot of the way there. If not, you’ll be better off looking for a solution that won’t need to be customized.

If you do decide to use the plugin, I can help with specific questions.
