I am having an issue with my site where when users enter editorial comments to posts, they receive the message “There has been a critical error on your website.Learn more about debugging in WordPress.”

The comment then successfully appears on the post, but no email notification is generated (I’ve checked the email logs). I’ve updated WP to 5.4.2, and am running PublishPress Pro 3.2.0, along with PublishPress Authors Pro v2.0.6, and have Notifications in PublishPress Pro set to notify via site administrator and authors by email when a new comment is added. Neither notification is being generated.

Please advise of next troubleshooting steps.

Good morning, I see that you’ve now twice marked this issue as resolved. It has not been resolved, and my support ticket remains open and an issue.

    Hi @oddmonster.

Sorry, that’s just part of our system for managing www.ads-software.com support.

This forum thread is closed in favor of the open support ticket on our site.

If you have a follow-up, please use that other ticket.

Thank you for that explanation of your system. As an end-user of your plugin, this system does not work well for me.

    Hi @oddmonster

Sorry, it’s the only reliable way to do it. Here on www.ads-software.com, we can’t ask for any private info about your site.

And yet, not having heard from your support team for more than two weeks on my issue with these plugins, it seems incredibly dishonest to keep marking this issue as resolved.

    Hi @oddmonster

We replied to you on June 22 by email.

The email started “Sorry for the delay, but I think we have a fix for the issue. Please, could you try the following package?”

There was a Dropbox link to a new version of the plugin.

Please check in your inbox for that email.

Please also allow us to the close this ticket here on www.ads-software.com, because the discussion has moved to a new location.
