    Hello,
    I’m new to the world of Web design but I’ve been trying to do this all day and it’s just not working. I’m trying to add a custom header image to the Satorii theme and I just can’t figure out the right code. Please help me. Also; I am creating a CMS website and when using static pages there is still a small grey rectangle on the right where the blogging buttons used to be – how do I get rid of this or how do I create my own links to go inside that grey box. I’m in the process of tweaking it right now but you might be able to see what I’m talking about at https://eda-inc.us/wp/

    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Try uploading your header image (eg header.jpg) to your theme’s images folder, then editing style.css and adding:

    #header {background:/images/header.jpg no-repeat center center;}

    Can’t see any grey box on Pages. Did you manage to get rid of it?

    Shucks, it didn’t change a thing!

    The grey rectangle is on the right side and is really light in color so it is not that visable.

    Thanks,
    Anything else to try?

    The image is in the right folder. There’s something in the code that is over riding the image and putting the standard wordpress user information in its place.

    You can get all the files from https://www.bestwpthemes.com/satorii/

    besides, if the file wasn’t in the right location wouldn’t there at least be an error listed?

    Thanks again,

    maybe this will help some one out with an answer to my question?

    The theme is built on the back of the well-known Sandbox theme, the Yahoo User Interface CSS and jQuery javascript, which makes it easy to customise or add new features — some of them are automatic zebra tables and automatic FancyBox added to image links, plus a useful reply to comments effect.

    Thanks,
    Kevin
