Can’t show expired events

Regarding your issue, we fixed some issues about showing expired events, so please update MEC to its latest version (5.6.5) and then try again. In case the issue persists, just let us know.

I’ve updated MEC, but it didn’t solve the issue. If I check “Show Only Expired Events” it works, if I check “Include Expired Events” it shows only future events. I created a staging environment, if you give me an email address I can provide access to it.

Please use the latest version of MEC and if your issue persists yet, please send screenshot from the list below:

1. Single event > Date and time tab
2. Single Events > Repeating Tab
3. Shortcode > Display Settings
4. Shortcode > Filter options > Date Option
5. MEC Settings > General Options

I’ve updated MEC to version 5.7.0 but no luck, this thing is driving me nuts. I hope it’s not something I missed or I’ll feel very stupid. Regarding your instruction, I couldn’t find “Shortcode > Filter options > Date Option”, I think you meant “Expired / Ongoing”.

you didn’t observe one point:

You can include past/expired events if you like so it will show upcoming and expired events based on start date that you selected.

Shortcode adjustments on your screenshots, the start date is today and today is not a good idea for showing the expire events: https://i.postimg.cc/9XKxymwj/image.png, in the meantime if you set certain date, you have a chance to show the events of the past: https://i.postimg.cc/k5gNkzRc/image.png.

Ahhhhh, I get it! “Start date” it’s not a date taken as a reference to divide past from future events…it’s a date from which the events will be shown as the reference date is always “today”.
Let me tell you, it’s not that clear in my opinion.
