I am moving our website to a new server and am taking the opportunity to redesign it, and have chosen the Virtue free theme. On the contact form is it possible to create a dropdown list for people to select who they want to contact, so that the email could go direct to that person instead of it going to a general address and then having to be forwared on.

    Thanks
    Stephen

    Hi Stephen,
Glad you’ve decided to use Virtue! The built-in contact form does not have functionality for this, sorry. You would need to use a plugin.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with!

    Best,

    Hi Hannah,

Thanks for your reply. Is it possible to still use the contact us page template and add a from from a plugin, as I really like the template.

    Thanks

Unfortunately not. But we would be happy to help with css to get the styling looking similar to the themes if that’s what you’re after? Let me know!

    Hannah,

Should I create the form and put it in a blank page?

    Thanks

That’s great! Did you find a plugin that has the functionalities you’re wanting?

    Hannah,

Yes I have. Here is the URL for the test contact page https://51.132.137.214/test-contact/. I need to configure the smtp settings which is the job for over the weekend/next week.

    Thanks

    Hannah,

I would like the page to look like the contact template page from the Virtue theme.

    Thanks

Is your form being added through a shortcode? Which editor are you working in? If using the Gutenberg editor you can add a row layout block with two columns. Add a shortcode block to the right column, and then two info box blocks and a header block and paragraph block to the left column. Then you could add another shortcode block above that to add the map. Or, if using page builder by siteorigin or another page builder plugin you can create a similar effect using widgets.
    Hope this is helpful!

I forgot you had inserted the demo content. An even easier solution is to go into your contact edit page and remove the contact form shortcode and instead add your new contact form shortcode. Does that make sense?

    Hannah,

Thanks that would be much easier, I will try and find the shortcode and replace it.

    Hannah,

I have changed the contact page option use contact form to no, and added the shortcake for my own form into the shortcode field but it puts the form at the bottom of the page instead of at the side. How do I get it at the side please, to replace the default contact page?

    Thanks
