Readers unable to comment on other pages

  • Hey, everyone. I shut off commenting on a few of my pages, but with one page, I’ve designated it the “Forum.” However, every time I try to comment on the Forum, or whenever, someone else tries, the site will say that the comment has been posted, but it won’t show up. I’ll be able to see the comments in my dashboard, too, however, they’re not visible on the actual page.

    Anyone know whats going on? Is a plug-in affecting this, maybe? Not sure.

    – In Admin go to Page > Edit click on the Forum page and see if you have checked option to “Allow Comments … ” for that Page
    – In Admin Settings > Discussion – did you check “An administrator must always approve the comment” – uncheck it and see if comments appear
    – Could also be plugin conflict. Have you tried deactivating any plugin that has to do comments and see if comments appear?

    I just deactivated a plug-in and it worked.

    Good for you. Which plugin was it? Was it the quotes comments plugin or something else? Let us know so we all could learn from each other.

    Also, when your specific issue is resolved, click on dropdown on right column to Resolved. Start another thread if you have a new challengs.
