Display meta info (custom post type)

Hello,
I have an custom post type that uses categories, tags and a custom location taxonomy.
On the archive page, I want to display the categories and the locations and hide the author meta. On the single page, I want to display the categories, the tags and the locations and hide the author meta (the tags are included by default which is ok for me).
How can I achieve this?
I have installed the neve child theme according to the instructions but I don’t know which files to change.
Please help!
