There is a user on my website who banned him for his IP, for insults. Now it turns out that it uses vpn and appears on my website with the same user, the same email but with different ips and I can’t ban all the ips because it would drive me crazy pointing ip.

I have several questions to see if I make the plugin work:

1- just putting the ip of the first record on the blacklist is enough? or I have to put each ip that I am using
2- Is it mandatory to whitelist registered ips that are good?
3- Just put the ip and it works or I have to put range and asn?

    thanks in advance

If they are using a VPN/Proxy to bypass your ban and sign up to your site again then I’m not sure why they would be able to bypass Proxy & VPN Blocker “PVB”. Are you using a caching plugin on your site? (even with this PVB should still be protecting wp-login, however if you use something like Ultimate Member then you will have to add the login/register pages to PVB blocked pages also).

It can be difficult to get rid of determined abusers.

You don’t need to whitelist good IP’s or add ranges and ASN’s.

I don’t use any caching plugin and you’re right, I use ultimate member and I’ve already registered and logged in to blocked pages. Now if it works, I will delete the user if it is registered with vpn, thanks.
