cURL error 35
-
I’m trying to use the Google SiteKit tool, while it install correctly, after completing the sign-in process with Google, when I return to my WordPress dashboard I get the following error:
Unknown Error (code: cURL error 35: error:0200100D:system library:fopen:Permission denied).
I’ve checked my PHP version meets the minimum requirements of the plugin, and have tried to complete the sign-in process with other plugins disabled, but no luck.
Any ideas?
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@chris-evans Thanks for getting in touch. There may be CURL configurations required at host level in order for setup to proceed. Can you provide the following information so we can investigate this further:
1. Did you have a valid SSL certificate on this site previously, which has since expired?
2. Can you share your Site Health information (privately if preferred)
3. Can you share your hosting OS distribution/version (ie. CentOs)
4. Can you share any console errors you encounter on the same screen where you encounter this noticeThanks for getting back to me!
1. I’ve not had an SSL cert for the site previously
2. I’ve loaded the information as requested
3. Looks like I’m on Debian-5+deb8u8
4. Console errors follow(index):1 A cookie associated with a cross-site resource at https://wp.com/ was set without the

@jamesosborne thanks for reply.
1. Not had an ssl cert on the site at all!
2. Site health shared by that link
3. OS is a flavour of Debian
4. To come.@chris-evans Thanks for providing an update. Looking at the console errors provided nothing stands out in relation to Site Kit reporting.

I suspected you may have had an certificate previously due to a https index.php page with no redirection (and expired certificate).
In order to troubleshoot further do you have any other WordPress sites or can you create a new install using the same hosting platform? There may be a one click installer using your hosting control panel, it would be useful to determine if the same issue arises.
@chris-evans As we didn’t receive a response I will mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues.
