• i’m having trouble installing apc/memcache and i think it stems from the Server Prep – php-pear, php-devel, and httpd-devel all return the following: “No package … available”.

    2) when i get to the point of issuing the following command: cp -p /usr/local/src/memcache-2.2.5/modules/memcache.so /usr/lib/php/modules/
    I receive:
cp: cannot create regular file `/usr/lib/php/modules/’: Is a directory

    any ideas?

  • Those instructions are for CentOS. Depending on your system you may not have to copy the module anywhere, it depends on where the compilation created it. Use the command in the instructions to see if it was loaded.
