reCAPTCHA not showing
-
The reCAPTCHA field isn’t showing. I added my two keys from Google. I’m not sure what else I could try.
Any ideas for why it’s not showing?

Hello @sydneylm
I trust you’re doing well!
Please let me know what reCaptcha version you’re using?
Please see if option Load Form from Ajax in the Behaviour tab is enabled. If yes, deactivate it and see if this will fix the issue.
Please see this screenshot:

Kind regards,
NastiaHello!
I’m using V2 Checkbox.
I checked the Ajax setting and it is off. It was never on.
Hello @sydneylm
I trust you’re doing well!
I’ve visited your page and see that the reCaptcha is there. Please see this screenshot:
https://monosnap.com/file/77t1uKFRhps8mTVqXENCFBY0RVsnZUIf the issue comes and goes, please deactivate caching on the contact page. Edit the form and go to the Behavior tab and enable the option that says “Prevent page caching on form pages”.
Please advise,
Cheers,
NastiaI turned off caching for the form using the option you mentioned. I cleared by page and browser cache, but the field still isn’t showing on desktop. It shows on mobile though.
I just disabled the reCAPTCHA for now.
Hi @sydneylm
Thank you for your response!
I see that there’s no captcha there currently but I’m afraid it will be difficult to troubleshoot it with it disabled as we can’t replicate that.
I’m wondering though – you mentioned that it did show for you on mobile but not on desktop. Can you tell me, please:
– did you check that as a logged-in user or a visitor (logged-out user)?
– did you try “incognito” browser tab?
– what browser(s) did you try (along with versions and OS please)?Best regards,
AdamI added the element back so we can troubleshoot.
I think the problem is that it doesn’t show when I’m logged in. When I log out, use incognito mode, or use a different browser where I’m not logged in, the reCAPTCHA shows.
I’m not sure where this setting is. I found a setting to enable logged in submissions only, but that option isn’t checked.
I supposed it doesn’t really matter since it’s not like I’m going to be submitting forms anyway. It’s just odd.
Hello @sydneylm
I trust you’re doing well!
Would you please try adding this CSS code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and see if this will show reCaptcha, please make sure to enable in a form as well:
div[id^="captcha"].forminator-col { z-index: 10; }
If above solution will not work, would you please try reCaptcha version 3 and see if the same issue will be happening again?
Please advise,
Kind regards,
NastiaI added the code as directed but no change. I switched to V3 and still nothing showed. I opened the site in incognito mode and everything works. I tried in another browser and it works too. I tried viewing again when I’m logged out and it shows. So it’s still just not showing when I’m logged in.
By the way, I’m having the same problem with a quiz I created it. I can add it to a post or page and it shows in the editor, but I can only see it on a page if I’m logged out.
Hello @sydneylm
I hope all is well.
It’s very tricky to debug this because I can’t reproduce the issue on my test site. Would you please, when logged in on your site, on a page form is shown, right-click and Inspect the page? Open a developer’s console and let us know if there re any errors.

NastiaHi @sydneylm,
Hope you are doing well!
We haven’t heard back from you for a while now so we’ve marked this ticket as resolved. If you do have any followup questions or require further assistance feel free to reopen it and let us know here.
Kind Regards,
NithinYes, we discovered that it only shows when I’m not logged into my wordpress account. This is true of many Forminator elements. For example, quizzes don’t show when I’m logged in. It only shows for people who aren’t logged in or don’t have an account. I’m not sure if this is a bug in my system or the Forminator system.
Thanks!
Hi @sydneylm
Thank you for the update.
I’m afraid we couldn’t replicate this issue.
You can check for a JavaScript issue on your end following the provided screenshot: https://take.ms/oOkGk
Let us know if you would like to debug it further.
Best Regards
Patrick FreitasHello,
Hopefully it’s not too late to respond to this. The problem is persisting but now it’s worse. Before, the recaptcha and quizzes I created would only show if someone isn’t logged in or is in incognito mode. Now, it never shows. recaptcha doesn’t show whether I’m logged in or not. Quizzes don’t show at all.
I ran the error report suggested in the previous comment. What do I do next?
Thank you.
Hi @sydneylm
Thanks for response!
I assumed that the issue is happening on the same contact page that you initially shared so I’ve visited it and it seems that
– there’s indeed no captcha there showing up
– there’s not even captcha-related markup in page source code anymore
– there’s a JS error related to one of theme scriptsIn that case I’d suggest trying to switch theme to default Twenty Twenty for a moment (then clear caches) just to check if captcha gets back then. If yes, we’d know it’s a conflict with a theme and would “dig deeper”.
If it still doesn’t show with Twenty Twenty theme, could you please export the form, upload the exported file to e.g. Dropbox or Google Drive and share download link with us here so we could test it on our end?
Best regards,
Adam
